So many reasons prevent us from wanting to know God. We’ve grown accustomed to depending on our knowledge. The infamous, me, myself, and I. We’re equipped with a sinful nature that has shaped us in its way throughout our existence. Before we met God, our way of life only took us further away from Him. Our relationship with God is like a man in the desert looking for a drink. Our thirst for His presence should never cease.
Because in the end, it’s His presence within us that is the only thing that can make a difference in our lives. It’s His presence that awakens our hearts and invites us to follow Him. From the very beginning of our conscious relationship with God, the only thing that can move us forward in our faith in God is God.
His Comforter Spirit shares with us the renewal of our hearts and minds. This is what we need to experience to draw closer to Him, so that our relationship can evolve in the right direction.
Our share of responsibility lies in the act of seeking and surrendering to the Holy Spirit. For only through the Holy Spirit can we discover God’s Grace.
In God’s Grace is the fulfillment of His will. In His will is found His good works, His miracles, His abundance, His love.
Almighty Lord, help me to thirst for your presence. Let Your Grace reign in me and let me surrender myself to You. For I know that this is how I find Your Peace.
