What happens when an unstoppable force strikes an immovable object?
An unstoppable force like God’s love in our lives.
His love, which provides for all our needs.
God wants to enter our lives. To share His miracles, such as fulfilling the goals He has laid on our hearts. This unstoppable force is the Lord with his arms wide open, reaching out to us.
The immovable object is us. We lose ourselves in our own belief system, created through the ages of our existence on this earth. This belief system pushes our own will to want to accomplish everything on our own.
I grew up with abandonment and rejection. I’ve developed defense mechanisms within myself that make me believe I’ll find my salvation in the accomplishment of my works.
‘’I can do it! I’m getting up! I’ll show them!”
”I-I-I”
In this state of mind, I become my own worst enemy. The Lord offers me His healing hand, and I push it away. I remain steadfast and immovable in my old beliefs. As a result, I distance myself from Jesus Christ.
From motionless to mobile.
Take up your cross and follow Jesus.
To take up one’s cross is to love through the act of trusting. I’ve lived my life by myself. Now I give it to God by trusting. Through prayer, I develop trust in the Lord that reaches His love. Instead of I-I-I dominating, my prayer opens a new dimension.
The dimension of placing everything in God’s hands and investing my hope in His will.
Jesus walked with the cross on his back towards Golgotha to be crucified. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that during this agonizing walk Christ had to endure, he always remained in prayer mode. Despite the hardships this march imposed on Him, He prayed to God the Father Almighty. During the storm within Him, Jesus Christ remained devoted to prayer. He placed all His trust in God the Father. Because He was guided by His love. We need to look for this kind of dedication. Like Jesus, we must trust in God the Father.
Whatever situation we experience, we must take up our cross and trust that God will provide according to His will, not ours.
In God’s will, we can find Love, Joy, Happiness, Healing, Forgiveness and Abundance among many others.
Let’s stop resisting God’s Love. Let’s rise in prayer.
Let’s abandon everything that prevents us from taking up our cross and following Jesus.
Let us accept the unstoppable force that is God’s love for us.
Let us pass from immobility to mobility through the power of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lord, I’ve turned away from Your Will for too long. Break everything that keeps me from following You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
